Light Up Wilton Manors
Your Community Affairs Advisory Board is proud to announce the annual, “Light Up Wilton Manors!” holiday lighting contest is back! Each year we are pleased to see more and more people get into the holiday spirit and decorate their businesses and houses. Some of the old rules apply: decorations must include lights (it is a lighting contest, after all), the decorations must be in the front of your house or business and visible from the street, and the awards will be 1 st Prize, 2nd Prize, and 3rd Prize in each of the neighborhoods (Eastside, Westside and Central Area) and one Grand Prize.
In order to encourage more participation we would like to provide you with the qualifying information:
• Decorations must be completed by December 11, 2011
• Your lights must be on from dusk until 9:00 pm during the evenings of December 12-16, 2011 for your house to be nominated. A nomination form will be left at your home that night.
• Once nominated, you MUST reply by 5:00 p.m. on December 19, 2011
• Final judging occurs on December 19, 2011 and prizes will be awarded on December 20, 2011
Finally, we would like to recognize and thank those folks who decorate their homes and participate in the contest year after year. A number of the decorations last year were more than beautiful. We are looking forward to seeing how you make this year even better. In order to encourage others to join in the fun, we will give special consideration to first time participants and those who decorate differently this year. Also, if you received an award last year, you will not be eligible to receive the same prize this year. There will be no awards for “Honorable Mention.”
